Recently, Boeing and the U.S. Army successfully completed a series of tests using the High Energy Laser Mobile Demonstrator (HEL MD). Directed energy systems will provide cost-effective capabilities to counter rocket, artillery and mortar (C-RAM), and threats from unmanned aerial vehicles.
