OF U.S. AIR FORCE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM SATELLITE
Today's scheduled launch of a
McDonnell Douglas Delta II rocket carrying a U.S. Air Force NAVSTAR
Block IIR Global Positioning System satellite was scrubbed due
to high altitude winds.
The launch has been rescheduled
for Friday, Jan. 17. The launch window will open at 11:28 a.m.
and close at 11:58 a.m. EST.
There will be satellite coverage
of the launch Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. EST, on GALAXY
3, Transponder 15.
GALAXY 3 coordinates: 95 degrees west longitude; uplink frequency, 6225 Mhs; downlink frequency, 4000 Mhs; polarity horizontal.
