LONG BEACH, Calif., Dec. 14, 2004 -- The Boeing [NYSE: BA] Company has named Ronald Marcotte as the new Vice President of Air Force Airlift and Tanker programs and site executive for the Boeing Integrated Defense Systems units in Long Beach, Palmdale and Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.

Marcotte's primary responsibilities now include profitability and growth of all Air Force Airlift and Tanker Programs including the C-17 Globemaster III; 767 Tanker/Transport; C-32A Executive Transport; C-40A, B and C Programs; and Advanced Airlift and Tanker Systems. He is based in Long Beach .

Marcotte began working for Boeing in August 2003 as the Vice President and Deputy General Manager of Air Force Systems where he helped shape and execute strategies for the Air Force customer. Before joining Boeing, he was senior vice president for Air Force programs at Burdeshaw Associates Limited.

Marcotte is a 1969 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and earned a Master of Science degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is a command pilot with more than 4,000 hours flown on a variety of bomber, tanker and airlift aircraft. Marcotte is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bronze Star Medal.
