Simons Named CFO for Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems

ST. LOUIS, May 05, 2000 -- The Boeing Company today announced that Randy Simons has been selected to be vice president and general manager of Business Management and chief financial officer for its St. Louis-based Military Aircraft and Missile Systems unit. He succeeds Roger Krone who accepted the position of vice president and general manager of Boeing Army programs. Simons' appointment is effective May 8.

Mike Sears, senior vice president of The Boeing Company and president of Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems said, "Randy has exceptional experience in financial management and business leadership. He is extremely qualified for this challenging position, and we feel fortunate to have him return to St. Louis. His broad experience with Boeing in commercial aviation, Phantom Works and military programs make him a terrific choice for this assignment."

Simons currently is chief financial officer for Airplane Programs for the Boeing Commercial Airplanes unit. Previously, he held several financial, business and management positions within Boeing and with Ernst & Young certified public accountants. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Oklahoma State University and has been a certified public accountant since 1976. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
