Boeing Announces Support To Four Kansas Agencies

WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 26, 1999 -- The Boeing Company today announced contributions totaling more than a half-million dollars to three Wichita service organizations and one Topeka-based conservancy. Today's announcement includes:

Jeff Turner, Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group vice president, noted the long-standing special relationship between The Boeing Company and the citizens of Kansas.

Turner, himself a Wichita native, said Boeing relies on a strong and motivated local work force and, in turn, feels a responsibility to help maintain a healthy economy and to improving the quality of life for all Kansans.

"The contributions that we are announcing today, will, we hope, allow the receiving organizations to continue to fulfill their goals of service to humankind and nature," Turner said.
