Boeing and the Republic of Korea have had a military partnership that goes back 60 years. Korea is the third-largest operator of Boeing Chinooks outside the United States. Over the past decade, the Republic of Korea has ordered more than 60 Boeing F-15K Slam Eagle jet fighters. The country recently took delivery of the first Peace Eye, a 737-based Airborne Early Warning & Control aircraft.

Boeing’s legacy of satellite making began 50 years ago with aviation pioneer Howard Hughes. His newly formed Hughes Space and Communications company launched an industry with the first geosynchronous communications satellite. Since then, nearly 300 satellites built at the El Segundo, Calif., plant have been launched into space on various military and commercial missions.
