For a global company such as Boeing, it is essential to get
involved in important European discussions that affect the
aerospace industry. Boeing’s Brussels office, which is
located less than 15 minutes from both NATO and the European
Union, provides that important voice for the company on everything
from discussions about the environment and biofuels to air
traffic management.
Whether it’s hauling equipment and supplies to warfighters
in Iraq and Afghanistan or using their huge cargo capacity
for humanitarian missions, Boeing C-17s are always on the go
at Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina. Nearly 60 of the
U.S. Air Force Globemaster III airlifters are assigned to the
airlift wing at Charleston, where about 150 Boeing employees
help keep the planes ready for their critical missions.
