Whether it’s hauling equipment and supplies to warfighters in Iraq and Afghanistan or using their huge cargo capacity for humanitarian missions, Boeing C-17s are always on the go at Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina. Nearly 60 of the U.S. Air Force Globemaster III airlifters are assigned to the airlift wing at Charleston, where about 150 Boeing employees help keep the planes ready for their critical missions.
