Boeing’s internship program, which is ranked among the best in the country, is crucial in helping the company attract and develop entry-level talent in areas such as engineering. Last year, nearly 1,000 Boeing interns could be found working in 22 states, supporting a variety of key jobs and learning about the company.

Machines are critical to Boeing’s production systems across the enterprise, and ideally these machines should only be down for scheduled maintenance – not because they are not working properly. One way Boeing keeps machine downtime to a minimum is through a Lean program called Total Productive Maintenance, which encourages collaboration between production workers and those who maintain the equipment.
