Royal Jordanian, the national airline of Jordan, has come a long way since it was established by royal decree in 1963 by the late King Hussein, a pilot who maintained a warm relationship with Boeing. It has scored a succession of firsts for a Middle East airline, including the first to order Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner, which will play an important role in the airline’s strategy.
