ON AN IMPORTANT MISSION
A team from several U.S. Air Force squadrons at Kadena Air Base, Japan, board a Boeing-built C-17 Globemaster III for a 45-day deployment to Sri Lanka. The team deployed as part of disaster relief following the Dec. 26 earthquake and resulting tsunami waves that affected 12 Asian countries. The team is composed of Airmen from the base's 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 33d Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 33rd Rescue Squadron, 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron and 18th Maintenance Squadron.
