Coming to terms with pachyderms

Elephants may not be aerodynamic, but they recently proved helpful to a team of some 50 employees from BCA's Strut, Nacelle and Composites Responsibility Center in Wichita, Kan. The team recently studied the safety procedures, checklists and precautions used by elephant handlers at the Sedgwick County Zoo. And they found surprising similarities in their jobs.

Europe continues to act as an anchor to Boeing's globalization strategy. The company is strategically positioning itself in key European cities and regions to bolster its presence in the areas. Tom Pickering, senior vice president of International Relations for Boeing, believes “being more effective globally means being more effective and present locally.”
