Transition Support

John White

Boeing creates strategic partnerships with leading nonprofit organizations that help veterans transition the skills they’ve developed in the military into their new communities and civilian careers. With The Mission Continues, we’re helping to build awareness of how veterans continue their service to country by supporting opportunities for them to apply their leadership skills through the veterans work with nonprofits. As a lead partner of RallyPoint 6, Boeing works together with the veteran service community in the Pacific Northwest to establish a community-based model of collective support for veterans. Veterans and their families have served our nation with pride, and we recognize that they have much to contribute even after their service has ended. Partnerships like these will help our next generation of leaders be ready to step out of uniform and into their next great challenge.

Community and Family

In 2011, Boeing partnered with NMSI to make AP courses, tests, teacher training and certification available in public high schools serving a high percentage of military families. Just one year into the program, Aberdeen High School in Maryland was named NMSI’s School of the Year for its 2012-2013 achievements, which included a dramatic 137 percent increase in the number of students who passed rigorous AP math, science and English exams.

The money, time, and skills of Boeing and its people are constantly at work on behalf of our military and veterans in the communities in which they live and work. Boeing is proud to build some of the military’s leading products, but we’re just as proud of the support we provide to them here at home. We are long-standing members of our military service associations and proudly contribute to their relief societies as well. Through Home and Away, we team up with the USO and professional sports franchises to allow fans a unique way to show their support for veterans in their communities. Our investment with the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) focuses on children of military families, ensuring that the demands of military life don’t prevent them from reaching tomorrow’s most promising opportunities. We constantly strive to deepen the strong relationship we’ve developed with our military and those who have served.
