What is the recruiting process?
You must apply online through the Boeing Careers web site to the appropriate job posting. Depending on the rotational program, you will then be invited to participate in a first-round interview on campus, over the phone or at a Boeing facility. Finally, you’ll be invited for a second interview with a panel of senior managers on site at a Boeing facility.
Will I relocate during the program?
Depending on the rotational program, you may have the opportunity to do a rotation at another Boeing site. In addition, your daily commute may vary depending on the location of each rotation.
Do I receive the same benefits as other Boeing employees?
Yes. You are considered a full-time, salaried employee of The Boeing Company. Thus, you are eligible to receive the benefits offered by Boeing.
How is performance in the program evaluated?
Performance in the program is evaluated on two levels. The first is the rotation level. Each hosting manager will evaluate you twice during the rotation: at the mid-point and upon completion. The hosting manager assesses various aspects of your performance in that rotation. The second is the program level, where the program manager reviews your development and progress within the program.
What happens when I complete the program?
Upon completion of the program, you will coordinate with program management to transition to a permanent position consistent with both your career interests and the needs of Boeing.
Will I have any interaction with executive-level management?
You will have the opportunity to be paired with a mentor at the senior manager or executive level. The purpose of this mentorship is to build a strong relationship between you and a Boeing leader to help establish short- and long-range career goals. In addition, roundtable discussions with executives are scheduled frequently.
What are my responsibilities to the program?
According to your rotational program’s requirements, you will participate in various community service activities throughout the year to support the local communities. In addition, you may hold a committee position within your rotational program, such as coordinating special events, maintaining the program’s internal web site, or planning training events.
