Overview
Comprising 3,200 people in nine locations, Strategic Missile and Defense Systems is developing several advanced missile defense systems and integrated missile defense solutions for all phases of ballistic missile threats. The Ground-based Midcourse Defense system and the Airborne Laser Test Bed are key components of the government's layered missile defense system.
