Steve Goo is vice president of International Operations and Compliance for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). Goo is responsible for leading BDS international operations in Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom and coordinating with Boeing International and BDS businesses to establish necessary leadership and functional infrastructure to enable successful and compliant international operations. Goo reports to Dennis Muilenburg, president and chief executive officer of BDS.

BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile manufacturer of military aircraft. Headquartered in St. Louis, Boeing Defense, Space & Security is a $32 billion business with 66,000 employees worldwide.

Together with BDS Business Development and Finance, Goo leads the expansion of BDS international operations in new markets and supports the three BDS business units -- Boeing Military Aircraft, Global Services & Support, and Network and Space Systems. Goo co-leads the BDS Compliance Assessment Team to ensure BDS conforms to U.S. and foreign government regulations as well as company policies.

Before this assignment, Goo led the BDS International Operations organization. Prior to that, he was vice president of BDS Program Management & Business Excellence and led companywide efforts designed to achieve peak performance. His focus included developing and deploying program management best practices, developing current and future program managers, performing independent assessments of BDS programs, and participating in proposal reviews.

Goo began his Boeing career in Seattle in 1977 and has held a progression of business development, engineering and program management positions on a broad range of space and defense programs, including Inertial Upper Stage, Airborne Anti-Satellite program and Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle, International Space Station, Commercial and Civil Satellites, and numerous proprietary space and intelligence assignments. He has served in leadership roles at several Boeing locations, including Puget Sound, Wash.; Huntsville, Ala.; Houston, Texas; Seal Beach and El Segundo, Calif.; and Brisbane, Australia.

Goo is also a board member of Los Angeles-based Homeboy Industries, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting at-risk, formerly gang-involved youths to become contributing community members. Born in Seattle, Goo earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and completed the executive program at Carnegie Mellon University.
