Boeing's employees are integral to the company's continual environmental improvement, and they are active community participants who volunteer for company-sponsored environmental programs by contributing time and resources.
Throughout the year, Boeing employees across the country volunteer for environment work days in their local communities. In 2007, employees volunteered hundreds of hours at company-sponsored events across the country.
Boeing's employees also support environmental organizations through financial gifts to the Boeing Employees Community Fund, one of the world's largest employee-owned and directed giving programs for which Boeing pays all administrative costs.
